TrendMiner replaces and enhances the existing trend viewer tool of the process historian and provides users with an industrial analytics platform.
ESIM Chemicals leverages its chemical expertise and process engineering competence to successfully carry out complex syntheses for demanding customers in large-scale plants. Raw material and energy efficiency, quality, delivery reliability, and safety play a crucial role in maintaining and expanding the position in the growing custom manufacturing market.
ESIM has established a continuous improvement system based on the DMAIC methodology with Lean Six Sigma experts. However, a fast and convenient self-service analytics tool was missing.
With TrendMiner, ESIM has found this tool and uses it in Lean and Six Sigma training, particularly in the Analyze and Control phases, which saves time in production process analyses, automatically detects sources of error, predicts trends, and triggers fast, data-driven decisions. This software enables significant continuous improvement in production.
Sustainability
ESIM uses self-service analytics to save cooling water – a step towards more sustainability. Analyses showed that a chiller could save a lot of cooling water (approximately 120,000 m³) with minimal power consumption. Through TrendMiner, ESIM was able to reduce energy amounts, which is a concrete example of cost savings and increased sustainability through data-driven analysis.
